Guidance and Counseling Services
Guidance and counseling services are available for every student in the school. These services include assistance with educational planning, interpretation of test scores, career information, study helps, home, school and/or social concerns, or any question the student would like to discuss with a counselor. The counseling staff helps coordinate communication between the school, families, and outside providers.
The counseling staff helps students benefit from their school experience through attention to personal, social, emotional and academic needs.
Counseling is offered at both individual and group levels to help students make appropriate decisions and to foster a clear understanding of themselves and others.
The counselors provide individual, group and class or school-wide counseling and programs around developmentally appropriate middle school issues and concerns, which may include:
- Peer Relationships
- Divorce/Separation
- Transitions/Adjustments
- Academic Success
- Bullying/Positive School Climate
Students wishing to meet with one of the counselors should make an appointment with the secretary in the guidance office.
